Work-study programs in computer science

The computer science department offers some specific work-study programs :

  • Professional Bachelor’s degree program in Administration of networks and services: This program alternates between 3 days in a company and 2 days at the university from September to mid-June. Students must be present at the company during university vacations. The exams take place at the end of August.
  • Professional Master's Degree in Computer Science Project Management: This program alternates between three weeks in a company and one week at the university from September to June. This program is also available in continuing education.
  • Image and 3D Master’s program (2nd year of the Master's program) : This program alternates between three weeks in a company and one week at the university from September to June. This program is also available in continuing education.
  • Software Science and Engineering Master’s program (1st and 2nd year of master, 2 years contract) :
    During the first year, students work two or three days a week in a company from September to May. Students are also in the company during university vacations and from June onwards. Exams take place at the end of August. During the second year, the work-study program is done on a weekly basis. The students are present at the university for 12 weeks and at the company for the rest of the year. Exams are usually held during the first week of September.

Work-study programs in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics offers to its students the opportunity to follow the final year of the actuarial training program at the University of Strasbourg in a work-study program.

  • University Diploma in Actuarial Science | DUAS : This 3-year program prepares students for a future career as an actuary. At the end of their studies, students obtain a Master's degree in Actuarial Science, a University Diploma and the title of Associate Actuary, member of the Institute of Actuaries. The work-study program is part of the 2nd year of the Actuarial Master's degree. The program takes place from September to the following September. The students are present at the university for two weeks per month and two weeks in the company from September to mid-April, then 100% in the company until the exams at the end of September of the following year.

Work-study contracts :

  • Work-study contracts also called “contrat d’apprentissage” :

o enroll in an work-study program through theCFA Universitaire Alsace, the student must be admitted to the program. The admission procedures as well as the calendar are available on the website : trouvermonmaster.gouv.fr.

In order to sign an apprenticeship contract, the first step is to complete the CFAU online pre-registration form. It is the gateway to the process of integration into the apprenticeship program and allows you to reserve an apprenticeship place in our programs.

In 2021, exceptional financial assistance will be granted to employers who recruit apprentices up to BAC +5 level.

  • Professionalization contract :

It is possible to follow our work-study programs by signing a professionalization contract.
