Description
Introduction to Fourier Series; Matrix algebra (adding, subtracting, finding inverse, power); Types of matrices, upper, lower triangular, diagonal, block; Gauss algorithm ; Solving linear systems using matrices; Determinants (properties of determinants, using Gaussian elimination in determining determinants, Sarrus rule); Eigenvalues, eigenvectors.
Compétences visées
By the end of this course, students will be able to do computations involving matrices, such as matrix arithmetic, solving system of linear equations using Gauss-Jordan elimination, Cramer’s rule, and inverse matrices methods, compute determinants, find eigenvalues/eigenvectors of a matrix; determine Fourier series of a given function.
