Description

This course will focus on the following topics:

·        Numbers and notations (real, complex, natural, rational, irrational, odd, even, prime, composite)

·        Complex numbers (algebra of complex numbers, powers, roots)

·        Geometry of 2D and 3D space (vectors in 2D and 3D, addition and subtraction of vectors, dot and cross products, geometric representation of vectors)

·        Equations of lines and planes

·        Sequences (limits, convergence of sequences)

·        Proof by induction

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

·        Demonstrate familiarity with mathematical terminology in English

·        Understand future mathematics courses and other scientific courses where mathematics are also used.
