Description
The aim of the course is to train students to manage corporate LANs. At the end of this course, students should be able to deploy and configure the basic functions of a corporate network, and propose solutions for managing sub-networks, IP routing, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, NAT/ACL, etc. This course covers :
LAN architecture: subnet administration and Ethernet switching
Static RIP and OSPF routing with single and multi-areas
VLANs and Inter-VLANS routing
Deployment of NAT policies and ACL filtering rules for network flow management

At the end of the course, students will be able to :
Understand the mechanisms involved in network communications
Understand IP addressing and be able to manage IP subnets
Configure basic LAN functions
Identify and report LAN malfunctions
Configure switches to set up a simple LAN network
configure routers and deploy static and dynamic routing
Implement simple security policies
